{"id":1903,"date":"2021-03-30T20:51:56","date_gmt":"2021-03-30T20:51:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/queensferryrowing.org\/?p=1903"},"modified":"2021-03-30T20:51:58","modified_gmt":"2021-03-30T20:51:58","slug":"qrc-quiz-of-the-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/queensferryrowing.org\/?p=1903","title":{"rendered":"QRC Quiz of the Year"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Marianne writes:<\/strong> Quiz master extraordinaire, our very own Tony Bacon, has kindly supplied details for our quiz!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/t4.ftcdn.net\/jpg\/01\/62\/05\/03\/160_F_162050318_lF37ZSQxk30TGHqFMWkBaQItkGGwBnbn.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Date and time:<\/em><\/strong> Friday 09 April @19:30<br><strong><em>Where:<\/em><\/strong> Zoom, link to nearer the time.<br><strong><em>Entry Fee:<\/em><\/strong> free!<br><strong><em>Duration: <\/em><\/strong>about 1 hour (time is part of the jeopardy!)<strong><em>Format: <\/em><\/strong>Six rounds of questions, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>&#8220;Watching the Detectives&#8221;<\/li><li>&#8220;Bridge over Troubled Waters&#8221;<\/li><li>&#8220;I Read the News Today&#8221;<\/li><li>&#8220;I&#8217;ve Got You Covered&#8221;<\/li><li>&#8220;Who Knows Where the Time Goes&#8221;<\/li><li>&#8220;Oil and Gas Fields of the North Sea&#8221;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rules<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>One team member to be delegated spokesperson; identified using the team name as the Zoom participant name.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Team size is not limited, but four is probably about right.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Teams should communicate between themselves using their own Zoom meeting, WhatsApp group or whatever.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Please test your internal channels of communication before the quiz, also watch out for feedback loops.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No using the Google!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Answers will be given at the end of each round for teams to self-mark.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Quizmaster will then ask each team leader for their score and keep track of them to total up at the end.
