{"id":2554,"date":"2025-09-15T14:57:44","date_gmt":"2025-09-15T13:57:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/queensferryrowing.org\/?p=2554"},"modified":"2025-09-15T14:59:55","modified_gmt":"2025-09-15T13:59:55","slug":"notice-qrc-annual-general-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/queensferryrowing.org\/?p=2554","title":{"rendered":"Notice: QRC annual general meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Queensferry Rowing Club&nbsp;Annual&nbsp;General&nbsp;Meeting&nbsp;&#8211; 20 October 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Club secretary Marianne writes:<\/strong> We&#8217;re holding our Annual\u00a0General\u00a0Meeting on 20 October 2024 at 19:30 in the Club House at Port Edgar Yacht Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Committee nominations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In preparation for the&nbsp;AGM, we&#8217;re requesting nominations for&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>four office bearer positions of Captain, Vice-Captain, Secretary and Treasurer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>seven committee members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These positions will be elected at the&nbsp;AGM.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Committee nomination form will be on the notice board in the shed until Friday 03 October when the process closes. The form has columns for the name of the nominated person, the names of the proposer and seconder. Alternatively, you can email nominations, with proposers and seconders, to me at <a href=\"mailto:secretary@queensferryrowing.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">secretary@queensferryrowing.org<\/a>&nbsp;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Committee meetings are usually held monthly, and a minimum of eight times a year. Committee members may be expected to carry out functions throughout their term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Voting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each member is allowed one vote.
