Here’s to another happy year of skiffing!

Congratulations to our newest skipper

Gabe has completed his final “buddy row” and is now a fully-fledged skipper.  Three other rowers – Rachel D, Julie and Sharon –  recently completed the weekend skipper course and are now going through the buddy row process.

The training progression, from competent crew to cox to skipper, is outlined on the Skills Training page, drawn up by Mike McD. Everyone is warmly encouraged to develop their understanding, knowledge and skills at their own pace.

Development weekend videos online

I’m in the process of uploading to Flickr the videos Gabe took in December – it’s taking a while, but there are four there to look at so far.

Rowing development weekend, December 2018

This one is Keith, Alan S, Robin and Alistair, with Gabriel coxing.  Click here to see more – and check back now and then. There are 15 altogether – I’m going for a variety of rowers initially.
