Below is the regatta and events programme for this year. The highlights are of course our own regatta, the Mad March Mash Up on 1 March, and … drum roll … the Skiffie Worlds, in Stranraer in July. A couple of our events – including the Community Challenge and the North-South contest – are still to be confirmed, so keep an eye on emails. Sign-up sheets for events we are attending are on the noticeboard in the Shed.
QRC isn’t taking part in all the listed events, but it gives you an idea of what’s going on around the country. Check the SCRA calendar for more.
01 March: Mad March Mash Up – our regatta, ALL HANDS REQUIRED! Sign-up sheets in the Shed.
29 March: Eskmuthe regatta. 1km races, with a couple of longer ones.
13 April: Bass Rock, row in company with North Berwick, Dunbar, Alnmouth, Blythe, Craster, Eskmuthe. Both boats going, picnic stop at Seacliffe. Possible crew changes, so this event is not necessarily restricted to 10 rowers.
26 April: Newhaven’s Seafaring Spirit festival community event, part of Edinburgh 900 celebrations. More details as they emerge.
26 April: Port Seton and Cockenzie regatta.
10 May: Firth of Clyde regatta.
23 May: Ullapool regatta
31 May: Skiffie Fest 2025, Strangford Lough, Northern Ireland.
14 June: Troon Regatta.
06-12 July: St Ayles Skiff World Championships, Stranraer. Sign-up sheet in the Shed.
23 August: North Berwick Regatta. 3km races around Craigleith.
20 September: The Great River Race, London.
